Lymegrass is a delicate plant. It is planted in the fall.
It is planted where the old grass has been destroyed due to too much human activity.
The new lymegrass withers after 14 days of planting, but shoots again immidiatly.
The new grass is protected by fencing. It is therefor very important ONLY to use the routes that are marked.
Tænk på, at klitterne ikke tåler løb og leg! Vore strande er så fine og brede - der er rigelig plads til udfoldelse.
This snake has a clear black zig-zag down its back. Though can it also be found in solid black/brown. It can grow to 104 cm long
It is native to the most parts of Denmark. Typically it is to be found in dunes and heaths.
This snake is not very aggressive and is shy by nature. This means it will try to escape any contact with humans. If it does bite it is important to remember that people react differently to such a bite. Some dont experience any symptomes, while others become very ill. This difference can be caused by age, weight, activity etc.
Most bites do not result in serious illness, but children and older people can be more sensitive to the venom. There are some safety guidelines to prevent such a bite to children.
