
During the end of July and into August, the heath invites the whole family to pick blackberries, crow berreis and rose hip berries.
The area around Lyngvig lighthouse is especially good for berry picking and has pleanty of parking. Rose hip is found along the paths in Søndervig, out to the beach.
Restaurant Sandgaarden in Søndervig's recipe for rose hip compot:
200 grams sugar.
½ dl vinegar.
2½ dl water.
500 gram clean rose hip.
½ stick vanilla.
Boil all the ingredience. Add the rose hip and boil for 5 min. Let the compoy cool and serve with wild meat.
